Workflow Services
Workflows across several systems that you can rely on
We analyse business workflows that break off today, cause rework or cannot be proven – and implement them reliably: with Temporal and with the experience from our own product.
Where the Workflow Services help
For workflows that run across several systems, take days or weeks and must be traceable in the end.
Applications and claims
Cases that pass through several departments and systems and must not be left half-finished.
Onboarding
Taking on customers or employees – with accounts, contracts and approvals in several systems.
Orders
From order entry through delivery to the invoice, even if a system fails along the way.
Deadlines and reminders
Dunning, follow-ups and retention periods over days, weeks or years.
Deletion processes
Deleting personal data across many systems, with approvals and proof – our own speciality.
AI agents
Agents that call several systems, wait for results or approvals and must not start over.
Two ways to work with us
Starting from a business problem
A workflow does not run reliably, creates effort or cannot be proven. We analyse it, show its weak points and what they cost, and recommend how it can be implemented reliably.
Starting from Temporal
Your team uses Temporal or has decided to, and is looking for support in Switzerland – for architecture, review, implementation, operation or training.
From analysis to operation
The services build on one another and can be commissioned individually. The analysis is tool-neutral; implementation is done with Temporal.
- 1
Workflow Check
Three days at a fixed price: one workflow analysed from a business perspective, or existing workflows reviewed technically.
- 2
Workflow Analysis
Capture several workflows, identify weak points, create a process map.
- 3
Workflow Architecture
Define the target picture, error handling, deadlines, versioning and operation.
- 4
Implementation
Program workflows with Temporal and replace existing processes step by step.
- 5
Operations set-up
Self-hosted on Kubernetes or with Temporal Cloud.
- 6
Training
For development teams, tailored to your use case.
What Temporal is – and why we use it
Temporal is an open-source platform that orchestrates long-running, fault-tolerant workflows. It continuously saves the state of each workflow. If a server, the network or a connected system fails, the workflow resumes afterwards – instead of starting over or being left half-finished.
Waiting times and deadlines over days and weeks are part of the workflow itself, as are retries after errors and interventions from outside, such as an approval or a cancellation.
We use Temporal in production in Espresso Data Privacy: for deletion processes across many systems, with deadlines, approvals and proof of every step. We bring this experience from development and operation to your workflows.

Enquiry
Are the Workflow Services right for your project?
Tell us briefly what it is about. We will get back to you with a proposal for scope, approach and timing.
Frequently asked questions
What does it cost to get started?
The Workflow Check has a fixed price for three days. We bill further services on a time-and-materials basis at a daily rate, based on an estimate in the proposal.
Do I need Espresso for this?
No. The Workflow Services are a separate offering and independent of Espresso.
Do you also take over operation?
We set up operations – self-hosted on Kubernetes or with Temporal Cloud – and hand them over to your team with documentation. We do not provide round-the-clock operation.
Do you work with our development team?
Yes. We program independently or together with your team and hand over with a walkthrough of the code.
Who owns the reports and code?
You do, once paid in full. Tools and templates that we bring with us remain ours.
